How it works

01

Councils publish every application

Under the Licensing Act 2003, councils must post each new premises licence application on their website for 28 days, before the licence is granted.

02

We check them every day

Venue Radar reads council licensing pages and records the venue, address, proposed activities and hours, and the date objections close.

03

You get one list every Monday

A clear email digest grouped by region, plus a spreadsheet you can drop straight into your CRM.

Questions

Where does the information come from?

From public notices that councils are legally required to publish for every new premises licence application, variation and review. We only use what councils make public.

Which areas do you cover?

Currently: BCP, Basingstoke and Deane, Blackpool, Bolton, Braintree, City of London, Croydon, Mid Suffolk, Mid Sussex, Nottingham, Pembrokeshire, Sandwell, South Holland. We are adding councils regularly; tell us the areas you need and we will prioritise them.

How early is this compared with a venue opening?

Applications are published before a licence is granted, so the venue is usually still preparing to open and setting up its suppliers.

Do you include personal information?

No. Where a council names a private individual as the applicant, we leave the name out and list only the venue, its address and the licence details.
