1. About these terms

These terms apply to Venue Radar free trials and paid subscriptions. By starting a trial or subscribing, you agree to them on behalf of your business.

2. Who we are

Venue Radar is the trading name of Kieron Hall, Springfield Road, Castle Bromwich, Birmingham, B36 0DU. You can contact us at venueradar@gmail.com.

3. For business customers

Venue Radar is a service for businesses. By using it you confirm you are acting for the purposes of your trade, business or profession and not as a consumer.

4. The service

Each week, normally on Monday, we email you a list of alcohol and late-night licence applications published by the councils we cover, filtered to the areas you choose, with a spreadsheet of the same list. The councils we cover are listed on our website. Coverage can change, for example when a council changes its website; we will tell you if a change affects your areas.

5. Where the information comes from

The lists are compiled from public notices that councils publish under the Licensing Act 2003. Each entry links to the council's notice. We may add details taken from the notice documents, plus our own labels such as a best-guess venue type and a map location.

6. Accuracy

We compile the lists carefully, but they are provided as they are, without any guarantee that they are complete, accurate or up to date. Councils can amend or withdraw applications, licences may be refused, and a venue may never open. Please check the council's notice before relying on an entry. Nothing in the service is legal advice.

7. Free trial

A free trial is four weekly lists. We don't ask for payment details, there is no obligation to subscribe, and the trial simply ends after the fourth list.

8. Subscriptions and payment

A subscription costs £29 a month per region, or £79 a month for every area we cover. These are founding-customer prices: we will keep your price for as long as your subscription continues without a break. Subscriptions are paid monthly in advance through PayPal. Venue Radar is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added; if that changes we will tell you before it affects your price. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email of any other change to what you pay.

9. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, either by cancelling the subscription in your PayPal account or by emailing venueradar@gmail.com. Your lists continue until the end of the month you have paid for. We don't refund part months, except where we end the service ourselves (see section 12).

10. How you may use the lists

You may use the lists within your own business, including sharing them with your colleagues. Please don't resell, republish or pass them on outside your business.

You are responsible for following marketing and data protection law when you contact the businesses in the lists. For example, many venues are run by sole traders or partnerships, who must have agreed before you send them marketing emails or texts, and telephone marketing must respect the Telephone and Corporate Telephone Preference Services.

11. Our liability

We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, business, goodwill or opportunity. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Suspending or ending the service

We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. We may also stop offering the service, giving you at least 30 days' notice; if we do, we will refund any part of a month you have paid for but not received.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will email you about any significant change before it takes effect, and the current version is always at https://venueradar.pages.dev/terms.html.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
